BlackBerry Curve 3G, Pearl 3G Heading to AT&T
AT&T on Wednesday added the 3G versions of the BlackBerry Curve and Pearl to its smartphone lineup.
The BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 (above) will be in AT&T stores and online starting Oct. 17 for $149.99 with a two-year contract. At two inches wide and 3.3 ounces, it includes Wi-Fi and GPS support on a high-resolution display. The Pearl 3G has an optical trackpad, 3.2-megapixel camera with flash and support for 32GB of content.
The BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 (right) will be in stores and online in time for the holiday season for $99.99, also with a contract. It is the first 3G Curve from AT&T and includes a full QWERTY keyboard and optical trackpad. It has built-in GPS, a camera that can record video, and a microSD/SDHC card that can support up to 32GB memory cards.
AT&T U-verse customers will be able to download the U-verse app on the Curve 9300, which will allow users to manage their DVRs, as well as download shows over a Wi-Fi connection and watch them on their BlackBerrys.
The Curve 3G can support the new BlackBerry 6 OS, but it will not be available on the device for several months, AT&T said.
